Grandma Thompson's Birthday!

A while ago we went up to Victor for Grandma Thompson's birthday.  We couldn't stay very long because Justin had to get back for a meeting.  It was fun to see everyone and chat with family and eat delicious food!

Team Roping

A couple of weeks ago Justin, Chauncey, and I went to Arco to practice team roping with some friends of the HOlts.  They used to live in Justin's home town and were gracious enough to let us come and use their horses.  They had a dummy they dragged behind the 4-wheeler.  They were so friendly and sweet to us! We wished they lived a little closer, because then we could go all the time.

Their horses were trained very well. They were responsive and amazing horses.

Unfortunately I forgot to take action shots...and we forgot to take pictures of me on my horse. oh well. next time...

We went to a high school rodeo while we were there. I love rodeos.

What a fun day!

Recent accomplishments

Here are some recent accomplishments in our lives:

1) Justin was voted the CEO of his taco business.  He had to start and run a business for his IBC classes this semester.  They are selling authentic tacos on campus.  So far they are doing really well! I'm so proud of my husband.  He is such an amazing leader :)
2) I was able to get my saddle on my horse the other day! First time ever. I had been pitch-forking straw for about a week straight. I guess I got stronger, because I have never been able to get my saddle on my horse (I am so short).  But now I can! woot
3) I am now an official hunter.  I just finished taking the online hunter safety class and the field test. I passed! We just went and bought my hunting license the other day.  I am excited/nervous!
4) Justin is doing an amazing job of balancing life.  He is so busy with school and his business, but he still finds time to hang out with me.  I love him so much! What an amazing man I married.

we're awesome!

My first time fly fishing!

This was a while ago...we went down to Utah to get our taxes done and stayed with Justin's aunt.  While we were down there, his cousin took us fishing.  It was so fun! The water was freezing, but I caught two fish! One on a fly rod! Derick was a very good teacher. We loved it and can't wait to go fly fishing again!
