Happy Thanksgiving '14

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the Holts in Caliente. Everyone was able to make it except for Andrea's family because she just had a baby. We ate lots of food, shot clay pigeons, played in the park, played games, and hung out. We have so much to be thankful for this year!

Some things I am especially thankful for this year (in no particular order):
-       The gospel. It brings such peace, comfort, guidance, purpose, direction, and happiness into our lives.
-       My wonderful family! I am so thankful for my parents and how amazing they are. I hope to be half the parents they are for our little baby. What great examples. They are so fun and happy and loving and giving.
-       I am thankful for my siblings. I love how close we are. I love them so much!
-       A wonderful and sweet husband. He has taken such good care of me and is so sweet to me. He works so hard for us and I feel so safe when I am with him. He is my best friend, my protector, my provider, and soon to be father of our children. He makes me laugh and I don’t know what I would do without him.
-       To be pregnant! I know lots of people who have a hard time getting pregnant, so I am thankful that I am able to have children. I am also thankful not to be super sick!
-       To have a home to live in. Even though our trailer is poorly insulated and cold it’s nice to have a roof over our head.
-       Tender mercies and blessings. We have been so blessed this year. It’s very humbling and amazing.
-       I am thankful for tithing and fast offerings. I know that we wouldn’t have been able to pay for things without the blessing of tithing.
-       A healthy body. It’s nice to have my foot healed and my allergies figured out so I feel good.

Gender Reveal!

We are having a boy! It was so fun to get to see our little man in the ultrasound. Such cute little hands, legs, and feet. He was face down so we didn't get a great profile picture, but that's ok. At first his legs were crossed so we couldn't tell the gender. But he was moving all over and he's definitely a boy :)
We are so excited! I hope he looks just like Justin. It seems even more real now that we know the gender.

On a side note. It has now been 2 days since I threw up my breakfast! I hope my morning sickness is over for good! That would be amazing.

Randoms

This is the only picture from my actual birthday day. I am now 27!
We had a little party at Ashley's and invited all the cousins that are in utah and Liz Clark came! I haven't seen her in so long! It was a great birthday. We had pizza and brownies. Thanks Ashley for hosting and inviting everyone.

This is from when Justin braved going under our trailer to put up a few more pieces of insulation. We have a definite spider infestation under our trailer (also some dead cats). It is scary place. So we duct taped Justin so no spiders could eat him. What a brave husband I have.

Baby Holt!

We have some exciting news to share with the world! We are pregnant! I am due March 30, 2015. We are very excited to be parents.

Taking this picture took a while. We started with yellow balloons, but lost one outside. It flew away haha. So then we were going to go with orange, but we popped one. So red it was. We had a hard time positioning the camera just right and took about 20 pictures. But we finally got it! Haha what a fun adventure. I love my sweet Justin so much. He's going to be such a great dad!

Rachel is married!

I went to one of my best friends wedding on July 5, 2014. It was in Calgary Alberta Canada. I drove up with 3 strangers, and stayed for about 6 days. It was so great to see Rachel Johnson; I hadn't seen her since my wedding 2 1/2 years ago. Crazy! Her husband, Mike, seems like a really great guy. I'm so happy for them! I wish them the very best. I got to meet a lot of Mike's family and a lot of Rachel's extended family. It was an exhausting, but fun-filled trip. Canada is beautiful and I thought of the tv show Heartland,  because it was so beautiful. I'm so glad I went!

Here is the couple: sealed for time and all eternity

Calgary Alberta Canada Temple

I helped build and decorate the reception. It took 2 solid days of working non-stop. I mostly did all of the lights.

It turned out great! It was a beautiful reception for a beautiful couple.

Here I am with the beautiful couple.

I also drove to the town High River, where Heartland is filmed. It recently got flooded, so the whole town is under renovation.  It felt like a ghost town, but it was still awesome to drive through it. I got ate by mosquitoes taking the picture above. So the rest of the pictures are taken from inside the car.

This street is where the had a cattle drive in the show.

I also loaded up on some of my favorite Canadian candies. We also got lucky and had really nice people at the border.

Holt Reunion 2014

We had a Holt Reunion at the end of May. We all got together at the Holt cabin for a weekend. It was a grand old time. There was delicious food to be had, fun games that were played, memories that were shared, birthday's that were celebrated, horses that were ridden, and so much more. What a fun time!  Hooray for family. We drove down with Chauncey and Mallory, it was a little cramped but lots of fun.
