Weston: 5 months

Weston is 5 months old! We feel so lucky and blessed to have his sweet personality and spirit in our homes. He is a very sweet and chill baby. He is getting more active and likes to be entertained these days. He gets bored easier these days. I went and got all the toys out that Marg gave us. Anything new is exciting to him. We love our little Weston so much! I can’t imagine life without him!

Here are some things about 5 month old Weston:
  1. -       he loves to be outside
  2. -       he is squawking a lot these days
  3. -       he tries to sing along with you when you sing
  4. -       he loves music
  5. -       he has learned how to blow bubbles and does that a lot
  6. -       goes down for naps so sweetly and without a pacifier
  7. -       still wakes up 3 times every night to eat
  8. -       has started eating baby food and loves each kind he tries
  9. -       he is the sweetest boy; we love him so much!
  10. -       he is so handsome
  11. -       not a snuggly guy anymore; he likes to be facing forward and see where he’s going and what is going on
  12. -       likes to stand with assistance
  13. -       gets bored of a toy after not too long; likes to be entertained
  14. -       he is fascinated by my hair
Now prepare for a picture overload...

Thompson Family Reunion

This past week was a crazy one! We were very busy, but had lots of fun. On Wednesday we went to the Days of '47 Rodeo with Nick and Chels and their family. I love rodeos! Weston took a little nap during it, which was impressive because it was very loud. Weston loved the bull riding.

This was during the bull riding. He's so happy :)

We stayed with Chauncey and Mallory on Thursday and Friday night. We went on a walk Friday night. Weston was so happy and content to just chew on the carrier. We ran into some people from our ward, which was so fun.

Emma holding Weston...he wasn't so sure about that

Saturday we went to Pocatello for a Thompson Family Reunion. It was so fun to see everyone before we head to Missouri. Hooray for family.

Weston and Braden

All the little cousins (2nd cousins?)...no one knows how that works
They are all less than a year apart and all boys!

Weston only took little power naps, so he was a tired little guy. At least he was so sweet. He loves being outside.

July 4th weekend

A little late of a post, but for the 4th of July weekend we went to the farm! Ashley, Cameron, and Taylor came too. It was Weston's 1st time on the farm and 1st Independence Day. We stayed with Luke and Tonya; they are so good to us. It was so great to see everyone. On Friday we just made the rounds and tried to say hi to everyone. On Saturday we went into Battle Mountain to see the parade. We were going to meet us with some friends from Rexburg, but they were out of town. I always love going to the farm! It's the best. People took turns feeding us. Mikey put on an impressive fireworks show and we had a big dinner with everyone.

Ashley's got the magic touch

Camerons first time riding a motorcycle!

This is what 9 hours of sleep looks like. Weston slept for 9 hours straight one night and then 8 the next night! Something in the Nevada air I guess.

Weston: 3 months old!

Weston is 3 months old. He is starting to discover his hands and voice. He sucks on his hands a lot, but rarely his fingers, because he always has his hands clenched. He also looks at his hands more and looks all around. He is very curious to all the things around him. Whenever something new gets introduced to him, he gets really serious and has to think about it. Then if you smile right after, he decides it’s ok and will smile too. He is getting louder with his coos and loves talking to Justin. He has started sometimes sleeping for longer periods at night, which is wonderful. He is still a very calm and happy baby. He usually only cries if something is wrong; such as gas, hunger, or if he’s tired. We love him so much. He is getting better at holding his head up during tummy time. He’s such a happy and smiley baby. We feel so blessed to have him in our lives and in our family. What a wonderful, beautiful baby boy!

Weston: 2 months

I finally got Weston in to his 2 month appointment. I had to wait on his Medicaid card to get here. We have to go back next week for his shots because they were all out. But they weighed and measured him. He is very healthy and is doing great. The longer night shifts didn’t last very long. He now wakes up every 2-3 hours. It is exhausting. Good thing he is so cute.

Weston smiles a lot now and is starting to coo. It just melts my heart. He is such a sweet boy. He is only fussy if something is wrong. We love him so much! I think he is going to be tall like his dad.

2 month stats (9 weeks):
weight: 13.4 lbs (75%)
height: 24.5 inches (90%)
head: 15.3 inches (20%)

Lydia took some very amazing and cute pictures of him!

These are some I just took with his sticker:

look at that cute grin

My first Mother's Day

My very first Mother's Day and Weston's first day at church. We didn't make it to our right ward again. We were in the right building, but not the right time. But now we know for sure where and when it meets. I still can't believe that I am a mom. Justin made it a very special Mother's Day. He changed lots of diapers, let me take a nap, made brownies, and gave me some chocolates. I love my sweet little family. I feel truly blessed.

I can't believe how big he is getting

I am also so very grateful for my mother! I love her so much. We would have never survived the move and a newborn without her. She is so wonderful. I love you mom!
